Okorocha denies reports linking APC to Boko Haram

Owerri - Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorochas, has dismissed claims that the All Progressive Congress is sponsoring the activities of Boko Haram in the country, Daily Independent reports.

Okorocha, who defected to the APC from the People's Democratic Party (PDP), stated this during a breakfast meeting with political appointees and APC stakeholders at the Government House in Owerri.

He said the terrorist group was in existence before the party was formed, so the claims by the PDP that the party is behind the activities of the insurgents was baseless.
